They allow us to provide high-quality Emergency Medical Services to our coverage area.

Car 745

1997 PL Custom/Ford Expedition

In 1997, the Squad faced an ever increasing call volume, at a time that membership was finding it harder to always be at the station, or within a short distance of the ambulances. As such, the Squad decided to purchase its first First Response Vehicle to improve response times in cases of true emergencies.

In a First Response roll, this vehicle allows an EMT with first aid supplies, oxygen and a defibrillator to reach a patient quickly, while a full crew of Driver and EMT assembles and responds with an ambulance.

During large scale incidents such as fires or hazardous materials emergencies, this vehicle provides a base for managing the EMS Branch or Incident Command Post.

The Branchburg Rescue Squad is proud announce the arrival of the newest addition to our family……RESCUE 74-56 "Metal Muncher II" effective named after the vehicle in which is replaced "Metal Muncher", a 1989 International E-One Rescue Truck.

In the fall on 2004 a truck committee was presented with the task of designing a truck to fit what have currently grown into and beyond and allow room for growth. The squad contracted Rescue 1 out of Manasquan, NJ with the challenge of designing the vehicle that would not only fit our equipment, town growth, but also our building. Chad Newsome of Rescue along with the engineers came up with a design and the committee modified it to the vehicle you see today.
